Ford India’s new sedan, Fort Figo Aspire, is expected to be available for sale in India shortly. As per the latest information, the booking will start from the 27th of this month, and the supply would begin most probably from the next month. The vehicle will be moderately priced, and will be within the range of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh. With a view to keeping the prices competitive, Ford Figo Aspire is being produced locally in the company’s plant in Gujarat.
Fort Figo Aspire is a compact sedan car with three engine option – (a) 86.8bhp 1.2 petrol, (b) 98.6bhp 1.5 diesel and (c) 110.5bhp 1.5 petrol. The first two variants have 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The vehicle will be available in four trim levels - Ambient, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ - and all trim levels will get dual airbags as standard. While Ambient – the entry-level car – will have basic features like manual AC, tilt steering, front power windows, maintenance warning, etc., Trend would have B and C-Pillar black appliqué and black appliqué finishing for the cabin and equipped with an audio system, radio, AUX, USB and Bluetooth. This apart, it would also have all-4 power windows, MyFord Dock unit and a 2 line MFD screen. The higher variants, viz. Titanium and Titanium+, would have additional features like rear defogger, automatic climate control, Outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators etc. The Titanium+ will be equipped with leather upholstery, Ford's SYNC infotainment system and six airbags.

The safety features would include ABS, EBD, airbags, hill launch assist, electronic stability program, height adjustable seat belts and emergency assistance, etc. Ford Figo Aspite would measure 3,995 mm in length and 1,695 in width, and would be available in six sparkling colours, viz. Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Deep Impact Blue, Tuxedo Black, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey. The car is likely to compete with established brands like Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Zent in the Indian Market.
